PBR announces LeAnn Hart as the 2016 Sharon Shoulders Award Winner
PBR's National Anthem singer, LeAnn Hart, is this year's Sharon Shoulders award winner.
LeAnn Hart is regarded as one of the toughest and caring women to step on the dirt at any bull riding event.
Hart, who's married to former PBR World Finals event winner J.W. Hart, has been a constant fixture on the bull riding scene for almost 15 years, and this year she's the recipient of the Sharon Shoulders Award.
The award is given to women who make a difference in the bull riding community and advance the sport. Hart is the seventh Sharon Shoulders award winner and will be honored on November 1 at the Heroes and Legends Celebration in Las Vegas.
If you haven't seen Hart at an event, you've surely heard her voice. She's been singing the national anthem at PBR events for nearly a decade.
"She's the most loving, charitable person I know," J.W. said of his wife to PBR.com. "At the same time, she'll stand up and go toe-to-toe with anybody."
Along with her duties with PBR, Hart is a mother of two and owns a photography studio in Oklahoma. At home, she puts in as many hours on ranch as her husband.
"When you're out in the brush with [J.W.] and you hear a bunch of cowboys just complaining, it's a thorn in his side," LeAnn said. "They're wanting to just give up and go to the house. You're not going to hear his wife complaining."
