The third performance of the 2017 Texas Cowboy Reunion is set to crown champions and determine the roster for the championship performance, and you can watch all the action LIVE on FloRodeo starting at 7:30 PM on Friday.

Over the past three days, the Texas Cowboy Reunion has featured non-stop action in the team roping, breakaway slack, barrel racing, tie-down roping, and double muggin'. Now, the stage is set for a Friday night performance in which the cowboys and cowgirls can put themselves in position to advance to the championship rounds and win a title in their events on Saturday.
 

Barrel Racing

The top 10 fastest times in the barrel racing come back to the championship round on Saturday night. Lacy Schoenthal set the pace Wednesday morning with a blazing-fast run of 18.420 seconds. She held the lead through the Wednesday night performance, but Leslie Harrison took it from her on Thursday night with an 18.269-second run. Jane Fambro also moved into the top 10 on Thursday night with an 18.659-second run. Nearly half a second splits the top 10 with an 18.787 rounding it out. The girls have one more night of competition to sweat through to see if they will get their chance to run in the championship round on Saturday night.

Tie-down Roping

The tie-down roping features two long rounds of competition and the top 10 fastest average times coming back to the performance on Saturday night. The champion is decided based on the average of all three runs. The first round of the tie-down roping was held during the Wednesday night performance and finished up Thursday morning during the slack. The Thursday night performance started the second round of the tie-down roping. The second round continued Friday morning during the slack, and it will wrap up during the Friday night performance.

Joseph Gernentz won the first round of the tie-down roping with a 9.45-seconds run. He came back Friday morning in the second round with a 12.23-second run, which put him sitting eighth in the average. He will have to wait until the dust settles tonight to find out if he gets to run one more. Coley Salge is currently winning the second round with an 8.22 second run he put on the board during the Friday morning slack. He paired it with a 10.74-second run from the first round to be sitting second in the average. Clay Long has been consistent all week with a 9.69 second run in the first round and a 8.41-second run to be winning the average going into Friday night's performance. Brady Barron will be the one to watch Friday night following his run of 11.23 seconds in the first round, which sets him in good position to come back to Saturday night.

Double Muggin'

The double muggin' is a Texas Cowboy Reunion tradition, and it always provides plenty of entertainment. The double muggin' features the same layout as the tie-down roping. Carl Hopkins won the first round of competition with a 18.35-second run. The second round started during the performance Thursday night, and Ryder Cude made the most of it with a 19.24-second run. Cude paired his 19.24-second run with his 22.04-second run in the first round to lead the average heading into Friday morning's slack competition. The Friday night performance will wrap up round two of competition and determine who advances to the championship round on Saturday night.

Rough Stock Events

The rough stock events (bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, ranch bronc riding, and bull riding) are just one round and have competitors in all four performances. Peter White put up a 79-point ride in the saddle bronc riding during Thursday's performance, but there are plenty more talented cowboys left to compete that can take No. 1 spot from him. In a tough night for the bull riding, no cowboys covered their bulls on Thursday, so Austin Patterson from Wednesday night's performance still holds the top spot with an 84-point score. The cowboys in Friday night's performance will be looking for redemption and their chance to put their names at the top of the leaderboard. Josh Hudson leads the bareback riding with a 74-point ride on Wednesday night. Thomas Moellering has a commanding lead in the ranch bronc riding with an 85-point ride from Wednesday night; the closest score to him is Weston Griswold's 77 points from Thursday night.
 
There will be a few events that crown their champions at the conclusion of the Friday night performance, as they are only one round and are not in the Saturday night performance. The events that will crown champions on Friday are the breakaway roping, steer wrestling, and wild cow milking.
 

Breakaway Roping

The breakaway roping slack followed the team roping on Tuesday, and there were plenty of fast runs on the board. Alex Flautt leads the pack with a 2.70-second run. Ashley Goforth and Katelyn Melvin are tied for second and third with a three-second-flat time. Skye Wright was able to move to fourth place during the Wednesday night performance with a 3.01-second run.

2. (tie) Ashley Goforth, 3.00 Seconds
3. (tie) Katlyn Melvin, 3.00 Seconds
4. Skye Wright, 3.01 Seconds
5. Anne Todd, 3.16 Seconds
6. Lari Dee Guy, 3.22 Seconds

Steer Wrestling

This is the first year that the Texas Cowboy Reunion is featuring steer wrestling, and the guys have not disappointed with fast times. Stan Branco was the first man to ever compete in the steer wrestling competition at the Texas Cowboy Reunion, and he is still leading the pack with a 4.2-second run. Branco has one more performance of competition to see if he can win the inaugural steer wrestling competition at the TCR.
 

Wild Cow Milking

The wild cow milking is a fan favorite and a TCR tradition. It is sure to provide some thrills and spills. Bonner Voss is winning the wild cow milking heading into Friday night's performance with a 51.85-second run. Brazos Wilfong is sitting second with a 52.06-second run.
