Will Taylor Manning Win A Canadian Title Before She Can Drive?

How can you not fall in love with a 14-year-old who can ride like the wind on her big strong sorrel, win rounds at the Canadian Finals Rodeo, and do it with a smile on her face? We’re smitten with Taylor Manning.

Both Taylor and her twin brother, Tristen, made history this year when they became the first set of twins to qualify for the event in the same year. Tristen has taken a commanding lead in the steer riding with just one ride to go tonight, while his twin sister has three performances left.

She's enjoyed a strong first three rounds, and perhaps that momentum will be enough to carry Taylor—who isn’t even old enough to drive on her own—to a Canadian title. The young phenom has some tough competition with Callahan Crossley lighting up the arena with fast times, and Carman Pozzobon's surely preparing to go back to her winning ways.

Manning has been on her game, though. She busted out and won round one with a time of 13.772, which allowed her to pick up a second-place check in round two with her time of 13.948. Although she was a little longer in round three, she still managed to seat herself in the No. 2 spot in the aggregate.
