WPCA: Friday Night Races In High River Cancelled
The World Professional Chuckwagon Association has made the decision to cancel friday night's races at the Guy Weadick Days in High River, Alberta.
The World Professional Chuckwagon Association has made the decision to cancel tonight's races at the Guy Weadick Days in High River, Alberta. The association made the announcement in a press release on www.wpca.com.
"Due to heavy rain in Southern Alberta and more specifically in High River, track conditions have been rated as unsafe and the WPCA races for tonight are canceled," said the WPCA's Bryan Hebson. "The WPCA takes horse care very seriously through the WPCA Code of Care program and will not risk the wellbeing of these equine athletes."
"We are optimistic that with sun in the forecast for tomorrow and some work by our track safety and maintenance team that we can get the track prepared for racing Saturday night," said Hebson.
