Jess Lockwood has won a lot of money on a Chad Berger bull called “More Big Bucks." In fact, the bull was a part of the reason Lockwood walked away from the 2017 PBR World Finals with a world title and their million-dollar bonus.

It’s safe to say Lockwood was excited when he learned he had drawn the bull for the top four round of RFD-TV’s The American, presented by Dish. After his 88.5-point ride in the long round saw him within the top four, that $100,000 prize was just on the horizon for Lockwood.

But he needed a good partner to get the job done with competition like two-time PBR world champion JB Mauney, who was eligible for the million dollar bonus prize and may have had a little extra fire because of it.

When the youngest-ever PBR world champion drew “More Big Bucks” from the stock contractor that has won PBR Stock Contractor Of The Year more than any other contractor, the stage was set for him to win the title.

Ninety points sealed the deal for Lockwood, who laughed in the press conference after, saying he should buy the bull with his $100,000 check. Lockwood, who has riding with a torn knee, said the injury felt a lot better after winning.

“Rub some dirt on it,” Lockwood said, in true cowboy fashion. His knee would hold to ride another day with that big check and a new title to add to his resume.
