After starting out in the Western world's more refined events like halter, showmanship, and Western pleasure classes, FloRodeo Youth Team member Kenzie Johnson kicked it up a notch and started doing speed events, finding her true passion in the barrel racing and pole bending.

Cowboy Christmas may be over, but we’re not slowing down on FloRodeo with this HUGE listing of events for the next two weekends. Not only can you watch top events from the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association, World Professional Chuckwagon Association, and the Professional Bull Riders association, but you can also go back and watch all of the archives from Cowboy Christmas (and beyond).

We put out a call to youth rodeo athletes far and wide in search of cowboys and cowgirls who are not only tough competitors inside the rodeo arena, but also great representatives for the sport of rodeo. And let us tell you, the future of rodeo is looking bright—we received 200 applications in three days.

The 2019 National Little Britches Rodeo Association Finals short round kicks off July 7 at 10:00 AM. Rodeo's new generation has been gritting it out through two go-rounds spread out over ten performances, with only the best on two head moving on to the short round.

This season, FloRodeo is offering more youth rodeo competition than ever with nearly 15 premier youth rodeo events from the National Little Britches Finals and International Youth Finals Rodeo, as well as the National High School and Junior High Finals and many state finals competitions, not to mention jackpots with hundreds of youth competitors as well.

Having siblings in rodeo means you always have a built-in practice buddy, sometimes a critic, and always a great fan cheering you on. Brothers Briar and Blair Mabry have exactly that as both boys successful hit the National Little Britches and National High School/Junior High rodeo trails as travel companions, team roping partners, and rivals. 

Like many rodeo competitors, it all started with that one special horse. It may not have been the first one they got on, but it was the first one that took them to the winner's circle and let them have a taste of what it’s like to be a champion. 

The Rank has already expanded its efforts to find the next generation of top rodeo athletes this year by adding all of the approximately 500 National Little Britches Rodeo Association season rodeos to its calculations, but we’re going even bigger now! The Rank is about finding the best, no matter where they rodeo, so FloRodeo wants to recognize youth competitors in both the National Junior High School and High School Rodeo Associations by tracking both the state/provincial finals and national finals results in 2019.

With the increased exposure and dollars going into female roping events, this next FloRodeo Rising Star has a bright and exciting future ahead of her. Sixteen-year-old Kolby Boyett may have started out as an all-around cowgirl, but her passion for the roping events have turned her into an all-around roper.
