For the second time in less than 48 hours, a new Canadian Finals Rodeo record was established in the saddle bronc riding.

For the first time since 2006, a bull rider will wear the coveted No. 1 back number at the Canadian Finals Rodeo.

In 2009 a pair of fairly-unknown brothers from Canada traveled to the World Series of Team Roping in Las Vegas, Nevada and proceeded to turn the heads of everyone in the team roping world by dominating what was, at the time, the largest-paying No. 13 roping in history. 

In celebration of Trevor Brazile’s 25th world title win – captured last weekend at the National Steer Roping Finals in Mulvane, Kansas – we’re taking a walk down memory lane to relive all 25 of his world titles along his 20-plus-year career in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).

Millions of dollars are awarded in the team roping world every fall between the United States Team Roping Championship's National Finals Team Roping in Oklahoma City, OK and the World Series Of Team Roping Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada. We've already crowned the winners of the USTRC Finals, so before we head to Vegas to watch the second of the two major roping finals, we thought you might want to binge-watch the USTRC Finals again.

They said before their last run at Westerner Park in Red Deer, Alberta that they might go for the arena record and - while they didn't break that particular record - they did break another at the 2019 Canadian Finals Rodeo: the single-season earnings record. The previous record was held by Levi Simpson and Jeremy Buhler who earned $59,006 between the regular-season and the finals in 2017, but Sherwood and Koch raised that bar substantially with their $74,616.07 and $76,728.86 respectively.

We love crunching numbers, so now that the official list of competitors for the 2019 Canadian Finals Rodeo is in we wanted to know just how much of a fight we’re about to see between the competitors in each of the events.

We’re sure if we asked this cowboy if he’s ever thought about doing anything other than rodeo, he’d look at us like we were speaking a different language.
