For the second time in less than 48 hours, a new Canadian Finals Rodeo record was established in the saddle bronc riding.

For the first time since 2006, a bull rider will wear the coveted No. 1 back number at the Canadian Finals Rodeo.

In celebration of Trevor Brazile’s 25th world title win – captured last weekend at the National Steer Roping Finals in Mulvane, Kansas – we’re taking a walk down memory lane to relive all 25 of his world titles along his 20-plus-year career in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).

The 2019 Canadian Finals Rodeo was not going the way it was supposed to for Shane Hanchey. The reigning, and three-time Canadian champion was struggling through his week in Red Deer, Alberta, and it didn't look like he would be taking home a fourth title this year.

We love crunching numbers, so now that the official list of competitors for the 2019 Canadian Finals Rodeo is in we wanted to know just how much of a fight we’re about to see between the competitors in each of the events.

We’re sure if we asked this cowboy if he’s ever thought about doing anything other than rodeo, he’d look at us like we were speaking a different language.

Having siblings in rodeo means you always have a built-in practice buddy, sometimes a critic, and always a great fan cheering you on. The World Champions Rodeo Alliance burst onto the scene last year with a brand-new concept that brought all rodeos into the “virtual” world. With the mantra to “develop and advance the sport of rodeo by aligning all levels of competition” this professional sport and entertainment entity not only creates new events, but hopes to bring the entirety of rodeo together with its qualifier system.

The Rank has already expanded its efforts to find the next generation of top rodeo athletes this year by adding all of the approximately 500 National Little Britches Rodeo Association season rodeos to its calculations, but we’re going even bigger now! The Rank is about finding the best, no matter where they rodeo, so FloRodeo wants to recognize youth competitors in both the National Junior High School and High School Rodeo Associations by tracking both the state/provincial finals and national finals results in 2019.
