Some cowboys were able to collect nearly $20,000 at Rodeo Austin this year, with a myriad of other large checks being handed out throughout the last week of competition. The PRCA schedule will settle down for a little bit after this past weekend saw the last big rodeo of the winter run, leaving some competitors with a healthy cushion from a successful winter of rodeos, and others ready to hustle once the big rodeos fire back up in the spring.

The pool of competitors has dropped to 16 at Rodeo Austin after the final long-round performance last night. With the long-round wrapped up, the best in each event will now be split into two pools competing in the semifinals over the next two days, with the top eight moving on to the finals on Saturday.

Tie-down roper Tyson Durfey is still sitting in the number one spot at Rodeo Austin after nine performances of rodeo action. Durfey was up on night one of the half-million dollar rodeo and showed his veteran skills by laying down a 7.9 second run on a tougher pen of calves.

There were four full-event PRCA rodeos that wrapped up over the weekend: the Parada Del Sol in Scottsdale, Arizona; the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City, North Dakota; and two in Florida: the Okeechobee Florida Cowtown Rodeo and the Arcadia All-Fla Championship Rodeo.
