The bull rider from Moctezuma, Sonora, Mexico came to Canada six years ago, but 2019 marks the first year he was able to qualify for the Canadian Finals Rodeo. For one reason or another, Edgar Durazo just couldn't get down the rodeo trail until all the stars aligned in 2019 and he was able to rodeo full time.

And rodeo he did.

Durazo won the largest rodeos in Canada, became the CPRA's Finning Pro Tour Champion, the 2019 Permit champion, the 2019 season leader, and the first competitor from Mexico to ever qualify for the Canadian Finals Rodeo.
